The Project Art in Your School | EduArtRomi aims to promote among Roma school students the classical arts, i.e. knowledge of classical music, visual arts, ballet and theater, too little explored at the level of Roma ethnic students.
Thus, 8 workshops will be held in collaboration with Secondary School no. 1-4 from Fabric and Secondary School no. 15 from Timisoara. The project promotes children's education in
the field of arts, with a special focus on the integration of Roma children and, why not,
the discovery of native talents that are still too little cultivated.
The workshops will take place between March 1 and April 30, 2024 under the coordination of the artists: Alexandra Coca (ballet workshop), Ugron Lajos (modeling workshop), Cristina Struța
(the music and creativity workshop) and the Fascinația Sunetului ensemble formed by Ana Maria Stănoia, Marilena Chircă, Cosmina Șerban and Cristina Vlaicu (the musical theater workshop - the Mary Poppins show).
This project is part of the national cultural programme "Timișoara European Capital of Culture in the year 2023" and is financed by the Power Station+ program | Creative schools, run by the Center for Projects Timișoara, with amounts allocated from the state budget, through the budget of the Ministry of Culture.
