CineEuroConnect: A Collaborative Film Museum & Heritage Film Festival focuses on exploring and celebrating cinema as a "Time Capsule".
Through an exhibition of objects, stories and visual works in Timisoara, a travelling exhibition in three European cities (Samos, Szolnok, Sofia), screenings of heritage films, constructive debates on current topics such as artificial intelligence and cinema, the importance of cinema in the age of new technologies and platforms, the impact of heritage on the creativity of contemporary artists, a virtual gallery, a documentary film and a specially designed mobile game, the project aims to provide participants with an engaging and educational experience, highlighting cultural diversity and promoting shared European values in a collaborative context.
The project is part of the national cultural Programme “Timișoara - European Capital of Culture 2023” and is funded through the OverBorder Culture+ programme, carried out by the Cultural and Art Center of Timiș County, with funds allocated from the state budget through the Ministry of Culture.
