The Live Archive is a project that analyzes the relationship between young people (high school students, students) from Timișoara and society through the filter of pop culture, with a focus on music associated with local youth cultures and subcultures. The project has a double dimension - an educational one and an entertainment and artistic intervention at the regional level, addressed to a Romanian and Hungarian audience. They are represented by:
- July 11-19, 2023: the realization, in collaboration with the young people enrolled in the ArtCamp camp of the partner Asociația Minitremu from Timișoara, of an audio documentation laboratory that will produce a serialized podcast about the way young people from Timișoara understand and relate to society through pop cultural and subcultural products, especially music; they will identify themes of interest reflected in the Romanian music of today, they will comment and make a critical analysis. The resulting podcast episodes will be published on the most important streaming channels of the moment (Spotify, YouTube, Apple and Google Podcasts) and promoted in the physical and online environment.
- The organization of events aimed at young people in Timișoara: a concert with artists from Romania and Serbia of trap music - a musical genre that impacts directly, sometimes viscerally, on the inner searches and challenges of teenagers - (September 15, 2023), respectively a DJ party whose support Romanian music (including the productions of artists from Timișoara) will be present in the Sound Archive podcasts
The project is part of the national cultural programme "Timișoara – European Capital of Culture in 2023" and is funded through the Inside Timișoara 2023 programme, implemented by the Center for Projects Timișoara, with funds allocated from the state budget, through the budget of the Ministry of Culture.
