Reading workshop for children (8-12 years) with Adina Rosetti, inspired by the Chronicles of Miss Day-After-Tomorrow series.
The themes of the trilogy are time and its perception, exploring through an adventurous story questions about the present, past and future and how they are connected and influence each other. Each volume fused realities of today's teenage life (the rebellious spirit, the passion for music, the conflict between generations, the desire to change the world, age-specific restlessness), through a fantasy filter, imagining a fantastic world, but animated by the same emotions and relationships like in the real world.
During the workshop, we will read excerpts from the two volumes published so far (Vremea Vrăjitoarei Niciodată, 2019, and In search of Akuz, 2021, Ed. Arthur, illustrations by Oana Ispir) and we will freely discuss the texts. The children will be encouraged to tell about the experience of the last years, about how they coped with the changes and events that affected their lives (pandemic, online school, digitization), these being part of the themes addressed in the third volume, currently being completed.
