HEI, Cineclub la Bastion!

European Film Wednesday screened at HEI- House of European Institutes returns to Bastion on July 31!

The film club curated by Cristina Băldău and Gavril Pop, is conceived as a series of films that will provide an opportunity for dialog around events taking place in Timisoara this year.

The selection of films is drawn from the archive of the EUNIC Romania network and from the Cinevara program of Fundația9.

For the screening on July 31, starting 20 pm, we propose the French film: DALVA, dir. Emmanuelle Nicot - event organized in partnership with the French Institute of Romania.

Synopsis:

Although she is 12 years old, Dalva dresses, wears make-up and behaves like a grown woman. One night, she is abruptly taken from her father's home and moved to a foster home. Initially confused and outraged by the change, she soon meets Jayden, a social worker, and Samia, a temperamental teenager. A new life seems to begin for Dalva, that of a young girl her own age.

The film is in French with Romanian subtitles.

The event is non-commercial, so admission is free and drinks brought in from outside the venue are allowed. Popcorn and lemon water are on the house!
