Andrei Petrache's proposal within the Energy Creation Scholarship! is a musical album that will serve as a reminder of the resilience of the human spirit and the unceasing search for freedom and democracy, a celebration of artistic freedom through new creation. A jazz album with pieces inspired by traditional music from former communist European countries: Romania, Hungary, Serbia, Bulgaria, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Poland, Germany, thus promoting their identity by highlighting the authenticity and uniqueness of each one. "The musical material on this album would be performed by me, as a pianist, together with other fellow jazz musicians, constituting an important cornerstone in my entire creation so far, as well as a unique program to integrate in the repertoire of the jazz band I belong to. Thus, What Freedom Sounds Like would be the question that will be answered precisely by marking this historic moment and celebrating the power of music to transcend borders and bring people together in a spirit of freedom and creativity."

For Andrei Petrache, the intrinsic value of his project lies in art's ability to stimulate collective remembrance and reflection on the tumultuous events of 1989 and their consequences. "Commemorating this pivotal moment in history, the composition of the original music album resulting from this creative scholarship will serve as a reminder of the resilience of the human spirit and the unceasing search for freedom and democracy. The documentation will involve a research of the characteristics and properties of each type of singing in Romania, Hungary, Serbia, Bulgaria, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Poland and Germany. Andrei Petrache will listen to various archived recordings of the traditional music of each individual country, analyzing various scores or specific musical notations of specific folk songs.

The end of the project will consist of holding a concert in which the music from the composed music album will be performed. The concert will take place in October and will be organized in partnership with the Sound Update Association in Timișoara, but it will also be part of an international tour that Andrei Petrache will carry out with the musical group Amphitrio, with concerts in each of the eight countries former communists.
