The play Fata din CLOUD (The Girl from the CLOUD) was conceived through an autobiographical exploration process involving the actors and the director. We reflected on our personal love stories, where thoughts like "I could have done more" or "we should have communicated better" might have saved or fixed something before it was too late. Are we doing everything we can to make a relationship work, or are we getting too comfortable in routine? Can we truly know what the other person is thinking?
This play is also the most technically ambitious theatrical project of the MAIDAN Creative Center. The script tells the story of a young man whose girlfriend dies, and he tries to create a digital replica of her in the form of an avatar, a HOLOGRAM made from all the digital traces she left in the world during her life: voice messages, videos, and photos.
The Girl from the CLOUD is a play that, in a modern and elaborate manner, analyzes both couple issues and the possibility of creating digital replicas of deceased people in the near future.
The question remains: can virtual life replace real life?
