Cloud Mobile - Camino del Migrante

CLOUD MOBILE is a temporary installation that combines interactive art and mobile workshops, designed to transform urban spaces in the historic neighborhood of Fabric, Timișoara. This project invites the community to reflect on the phenomenon of migration, allowing both young people and adults to actively participate in the creation of a shared, safe, and educational space.

The centerpiece of the project is an interactive cloud constructed from recycled materials, illuminated with LED lights that the public can control. The lights symbolize migration stories and a sense of belonging, gathered through community workshops. Each light turned on represents a shared story.

Additionally, a "Path of the Migrant" (Camino del Migrante) is included, which is a playful intervention where participants can follow routes that simulate the journeys of migrants. These routes will be marked on the pavement with symbols and interactive games similar to hopscotch, representing key stages of the migratory journey: displacement, borders, new beginnings, and more.

The event is a component of the Moving Fireplaces Festival 2024, part of the Moving Fireplaces - The Legacy project, organized and implemented by the Prin Banat Association. The project is part of the national cultural program "Timișoara - European Capital of Culture 2023" and is funded through the Legacy Timișoara 2023 program, managed by the Timișoara Municipality's Center for Projects, with funds allocated from the state budget by the Ministry of Culture.
