Experience an interactive tour focused on the film and video artworks in the exhibition, followed by a presentation and conversation with the multidisciplinary artist Mihaela Drăgan, alongside Sorin Valea.

Mihaela Drăgan's film, “A la porte les sauvages!” / “Avri kadale jivutrentza!”, examines the intersection between gender, race, violence, and history, confronting the repressions created by colonialism and ethnocentrism through acts of aggression against men.

Mihaela Drăgan is a multidisciplinary artist with a degree in theater who currently lives in Bucharest but works in several other countries. In 2014, she founded the theater company Giuvlipen together with other Roma actresses, for which she is an actress, director and playwright. During her residency at Para Site Contemporary Art Center in Hong Kong, she developed “Roma Futurism” - an innovative artistic project at the intersection of Roma culture, technology, and witchcraft. “Roma Futurism” represents her own artistic practice, under the principles and aesthetics of which she has created various theater, music, and video artworks over the past years.

Sorin Valea is an artist from Timișoara who collects urban stories and documents subcultures. His practice combines fact with fiction through film and installation art.

The project is part of the national cultural program “Timișoara – European Capital of Culture in 2023” and is funded through the Legacy Timișoara 2023 program, carried out by the @centruldeproiecte , with funds allocated from the state budget, through the @ministerul_culturii ’s budget.
