Be the storm, performance by Moveo Dance Company

The contemporary dance performance Be the storm, developed by Moveo Company, looks at how the dynamics of what we perceive as power change as we transition from a carefree life to building relationships and family, and ultimately to our own real knowing.
The show will take place on Friday 1 September at 19.30 in Timișoara's St George's Square, with free admission.

Choreography: Diane Portelli in collaboration with the dancers
Dancers: Diane Portelli, Dorian Mallia, Victor Hermundstad, Irene Nocella, Gabriele Farinacci, Charlotte Carpentier, Cidnelle Bouard, Luke Bugeja Gauci.

Diane Portelli: "I felt invincible in my 20s, overwhelmed in my 30s, and today, at 40, I know my worth and that feels powerful’. When are we at our most powerful ? As we transition from our 20s to our 40s our sense of power also transitions from à physical to a more mental state. We seem less afraid to be who we want to be and are able to communicate emotional needs, yet we are not a strong or driven as we once were. Be the storm follows how the dynamic of what we perceive as power shifts as we transition from a carefree life, to building relationships and family and finally feeling the strength and power of who you really are. We may find that power just means staying true to yourself and embracing the beauty every decade offers because it’s soon just a collage of memories we reminisce."
