The show BORN IN 2000, the second part of the BIS Theatre Trilogy, premiered in the middle of the pandemic wave in August 2020, with 12 spectators in the audience and live webcast.

Since its premiere it has been performed countless times, with memorable performances at the Sibiu International Theatre Festival and the 25 Hours of Non-Stop Theatre Festival.

The text of the show BORN IN 2000 was generated in a collaborative process between the director and the actresses based on their personal experiences of motherhood.

The show interweaves the biographical element with the social one: the stories of the protagonists, their doubts, their hopes, their disappointments, their fears, their dreams.

Their babies taking their first steps, speaking their first words.

Babies born in 2000, in this strange and unpredictable millennium.

BORN IN 2000 is part of the BIS Theatre Trilogy, "Born in Romania".

It was produced in 2000 as part of the ACCES ONLINE programme run by the Ministry of Culture.
