Columbiada: Painting Session and Short Movie Projection

We will paint a pigeon claiming its right to shelter (and life) and houses for its fellows, as imagined by anyone who wants to participate in a collective mural – children young and old, parents, artists, anyone talented or "untalented".

And from 9:30 p.m., we invite you to the outdoor screening of the short film With Time, You Will See How The Sky Is Big Enough, a collaboration between Silvia Moldovan (artist, keeper of pigeons and other birds) and Maria Martelli (writer, researcher and just wondering member).

Artist: Silvia Moldovan

Silvia Moldovan graduated from the Faculty of Arts and Design, Western University, Timișoara, the painting department (2008-2013). In 2017, she established the Sepale Cultural and Ecological Association. she lives and works in a bird sanctuary near Timisoara: SEPALE Bird Sanctuary.

She draws, builds, arranges landscapes/spaces/sculptures for birds and other animals, she films and photographs animals and their space, vegetation, various objects. For the most part, he uses scraps, materials and reclaimed objects (which some would say are trash) in making her works.

Project realised with the support of a grant for artistic creation ''Energy!'' awarded by the Municipality of Timișoara, through the Project Centre, within the National Cultural Programme "Timișoara - European Capital of Culture in 2023".
