International Seminar 

The title of European Capital of Culture is a chance for city-transformation. It works as a laboratory for condensed urban processes, an opportunity to accelerate decision-making and to enter the public agenda. The urban laboratory "Timișoara – European Capital of Culture in 2023" proposed, tested and validated a series of formats for activating the built and natural heritage, tools of cultural intervention in the public space, methods of intensifying the urban identity - all brought to an unprecedented level. These practices are catalysts for the creation of broader strategies with a stronger cultural angle, legislative improvements, local and national public policies. 

VECTOR TM. Culture as Urban Practice builds the international framework to highlight some of the vectors of urban transformation generated by the National Cultural programme „Timișoara – European Capital of Culture in 2023”, and will explore how they can be integrated into public policies for the coming years.

The presentations and discussions will be held in English and streamed live on the YouTube account of the Centre for Projects of the Timișoara Municipality.
