On 7-10 December we will celebrate together the moment of the accomplishment of an exceptional year for Timisoara - the year of the European Capital of Culture. It is a valuable opportunity to reflect collectively on this unique journey for Romanian culture and society and to understand its transformative potential for the years to come.
During the four days, we will explore ways of cultivating memory, celebrating resilience and Timisoara's fearless, open and forward-looking spirit. The events reaffirm the identity of the city and its communities, and how they have been enriched by the experience of being a vibrant and relevant city of European culture.
The celebration's goal is to highlight a set of valuable practices that have been exercised throughout the cultural programme, which have fundamentally marked the artistic, social and human ecosystem, articulating a set of principles on which to build in the future. At the same time, these vectors of change will give a decisive impetus to the urban regeneration movement, which is in full swing, and the celebration is the best moment to affirm the continued support of these vital creative energies for the city.
