In July 2024, Timisoara transforms into a true cultural hub, hosting a wide range of events that will delight locals and tourists alike. From theater performances and symphony concerts to exhibitions and festivals, the city is getting ready to celebrate art and culture in all its forms. The diverse program of events promises to offer unforgettable experiences and underline Timisoara's importance on Europe's cultural map.

The following events are part of the Timisoara 2023 Legacy, part of the National Cultural Program "Timisoara - European Capital of Culture 2023".

This summer, Timisoara will host two special exhibitions. At Casa ISHO, on Bd. Take Ionescu, the exhibition "Marius Bercea: The Side of Paradise", open to the public until August 17.

Also, the Faculty of Architecture and Urbanism is organizing the exhibition "Future Days" open from 4 to 31 July, on Thursdays and Fridays, between 16:00 and 19:00, at ARChA, on Bd. Mihai Viteazu, nr. 1b. The exhibition presents student projects and innovative visions in the field of architecture and urbanism.

The Bastion 1 Gallery, on Hector Street, will host the design exhibition "Designer(They). (Re)designing the world", open to the public from June 7 to July 21.

On July 3, from 19:00 in the Millennium Roman-Catholic Church at 6 Romanilor Square, there will be an organ recital as part of the third edition of the International Festival "Orgile Cetății".

A public reading of Audre Lorde's works, part of the "Community Chronicles" series, will take place on the ground floor of the Project Center in Vasile Alecsandri Street 1, on 4 July at 19:00. The 'Community Chronicles' series continues on July 5, at the same time, with the event 'Ogres.

Nocturnal Jam Sessions runs from July 5-6, starting at 23:30, at the Garrison Headquarters, 5 Freedom Square.

From July 17 to 21, city residents will discover the magic of cinema at the 11th edition of the "Ceau, Cinema!" Film Festival, held in various locations across the city.

The screening of the film "Francesco giullare di Dio" (1950) is a moment of encounter with the history of Italian cinema, as part of the program CEAU, CINEMA ITALIANO! Scheduled for July 6, from 17:00, at the Cinema Timiș in Victoriei Square 7.

The "Cadre&Forme Summer School" performance will take place on July 9, starting at 19:30, in St. George's Square.

The "Organ and Clarinet Recital", part of the International Festival "Organs of the Citadel", 3rd edition, will take place on July 14, from 19:00, at the Roman-Catholic Church of the Most Sacred Heart of Jesus, located at 1 Decembrie 1, 1918, no. 1.

On July 24, starting at 20:00, at the Roman-Catholic Dome of Timisoara, located in Piața Unirii, no. 12, will take place the Organ and Bassoon Recital as part of the International Festival "Orgile Cetății", 3rd edition.

The project "Bega on the Move | Locks on the Bega 2024" will enliven the city on July 27, between 10:00 and 23:00, in various locations in Timișoara.

The following events are part of the general cultural offer of Timișoara.

Andrei Arion's exhibition is open to the public from June 21 to September 14 at Kunsthalle Bega, 10 Circumvalațiunii Street, 10, Timișoara.

At the same time, the exhibition "Sporal" can be visited until July 14 at the Garrison Headquarters, located in Libertății Square 5.

The theater performance "The incredible and sad story of the candid Eréndira and her soulless grandmother" will take place on July 5, starting at 19:30, at the German Theater in Timisoara, located at 2 Alba Iulia Street.

JAZZx Festival 2024 brings the vibrant atmosphere of jazz music to the center of Timisoara, from July 5-7, with concerts and events not to be missed in Libertății Square.

The Robin and the Backstabbers concert takes place on July 12, from 19:30, at FABER, on Splaiul Peneș Curcanul 4-5.

The "Launmomentdat in the Park" Safari edition takes place from July 12 to 14, in the Regina Maria Park, from 12:00 to 23:00.

Together, these events bring cultural and artistic variety to the heart of Timișoara, giving the community the opportunity to experience and connect through art and culture.

The National Cultural Program "Timisoara - European Capital of Culture in 2023" is funded by the Municipality of Timisoara, the Ministry of Culture and Timis County Council.
