Come into the light – over the bridges of time

The project aims to create a musical show that showcases the cultural heritage of Timișoara, Timiș County, and historical Banat, incorporating elements from the local history with a focus on multiculturalism, ethnic diversity, and religious coexistence, all within the framework of a love story expressed through music, theatre, dance, and choreography.

Musicals represent a more accessible form of artistic expression to a wide audience, while also conveying important messages, cultural values, life principles, and emotional states, with high educational potential. For this reason, the performers in this musical are teenagers and young people from Timișoara and Timiș County, who are given the opportunity to showcase their talents and begin or further their artistic careers. They will benefit from the guidance of prominent figures from Timișoara, such as Cristina Vlaicu, Octavian Vlaicu, and Marius Goșa (opera singers and specialists in music and musical direction, soloists of the Romanian National Opera in Timișoara), Mariana Boșneac (coordinator of the Heavenly Hell theater troupe at the Banat National College and organizer of the T4T - Theatre for Teenagers Festival), Diana Avram and Raul Avram (choreographers of the Magnum V.R.D. Sport Dance Club Association), Horea Silvio Crișovan (musician, guitarist, and composer), Geta Medinschi (scenographer), Oana Antonovici (actor). They will provide musical, scenic, and choreographic training to the performers.

This musical, as a cultural product, will be presented to audiences in Timișoara, Timiș County, as well as to audiences in Serbia (Novi Sad - the European Capital of Culture for the year 2022). The musical "Come into the light" adds to the array of performances offered by Timișoara as the European Capital of Culture 2023, as well as the artistic programs of Timiș County and local communities.
