Nature, plants and the natural landscape are increasingly present in the contemporary discourse as a response to the climate crisis and social alienation. The Civitas Floris project proposes an inverted vision in which plants are the ones who study, analyze and elaborate the dynamics of the city and its relationship with its citizens.

Civitas Floris is a series of still and moving images, made from the point of view of the plants in the gardens and streets of Timișoara through an experimental analogue method, through an intuitive process and from various perspectives: from the ground level (creeping plants), to the medium level (low plants) and from a height (climbing plants, vines and trees) according to the perception that the vegetation can have on the urban environment in which it develops.

The Civitas Floris image series is presented in posters, postcards or other formats, present in public display places in parks, bars, kiosks, bistros, small shops where people gather and talk. In this way the message of the plants can reach them directly. The public can also express their opinions or contribute with ideas and comments sent by mail or electronically, which will be published on the project's website.

Between September 10 and November 1 look for Civitas Floris messages in the city, respond and follow the project on the website: www.oliviamihaltianu.com.
