This workshop explores a fusion of traditional Afro diasporic dance styles. Participants will explore foundational movements through coordination exercises, rhythmic patterns, and approach to musicality. The class is open to any experience level. Be prepared to sweat and bring your water!

Andrea Vezga is an interdisciplinary mover and performer with special interest in contemporary movement practices, afro diasporic and Latin-American dances. Her current practice is driven by ethnocentric research and embodied activism. She has experience in teaching as well as producing and managing artistic projects.
Born in Venezuala, Andrea Vezga studied at National University of Costa Rica and University of Applied Arts, Vienna, Austria. 
Currently she works and lives in Vienna.

This project is part of the national cultural programme "Timișoara – European Capital of Culture in 2023" and it is funded through the Legacy Timișoara 2023 programme, implemented by the Center for Projects Timișoara, with funds allocated from the state budget, through the budget of the Ministry of Culture.
