The Iron Bridge is the name of a pedestrian bridge in Timișoara that crosses the Bega Canal between Ady Endre and Andrei Mureșan streets. At the initiative of Mayor János Török, construction of metal bridges across the Bega began between 1870 and 1871. The present metal bridge was originally built on the site of the present Maria Bridge, which at the time was called "Hunyadi híd" (Romanian: Huniade Bridge). The bridge was moved to its present location in 1917.
