In 1752 the Vienna Barracks was built, with a ground floor and a first floor, with an Austrian Baroque façade. The building was severely damaged after the siege of 1849, and a new three-storey barracks was rebuilt with a U-shaped plan open to the north, towards Marasti Square. It had several names in the course of history, the Franz-Joseph Barracks in 1859, the Military Artillery School in 1923. In recent years the building has not been used, being brought back into focus on the occasion of the exhibition after SCULPTURE/SCULPTURE after.
