The Culture Factory

The Culture Factory addresses the vulnerable educational community from Secondary School no. 1 Timișoara, where predominantly Roma students, with limited educational, cultural and material resources, in collaboration with School no. 1 from Pancevo, Serbia.

The World Peace Game is an innovative educational concept. Over the course of a week, students experience the game, solve tasks and challenges, actively assuming their assigned role.

In the week following the game, students from Timișoara and Pancevo will benefit from artistic creation workshops (drawing, painting) coordinated by the visual artist Livia Mateiaș.

The works on the theme of World Peace will constitute a joint exhibition (Timișoara - Pancevo) that will take place at the Project Center in Timișoara.

For a better stimulation of students' creativity, creative reading and writing workshops will be held starting from authors on the project's theme. Students will write texts about peace, democracy, human rights (implicitly also children's) that they will present at the opening of the World Peace Exhibition.

This project is part of the national cultural programme "Timișoara European Capital of Culture in the year 2023" and is financed by the Power Station+ program | Creative schools, run by the Center for Projects Timișoara, with amounts allocated from the state budget, through the budget of the Ministry of Culture.
