The Encounters for sculpture project will include a series of exhibition events, discussions or round tables held throughout 2023, with an approximate cadence of one to two months. The curatorial concept - a type of three-dimensional art, usually called sculpture, which exceeds this limit of plastic expression, interfering with various other forms of expression or creative media.
The project aims to create bridges on several levels: between the local and international artistic environment, between artistic practice and specialised research in the field of art theory, and between artists and the general public. All exhibition events will be accompanied by meetings such as artist talk and public interaction. The international dimension of the project is guaranteed by the already existing multitude of partnerships.
This project is part of the national cultural programme "Timișoara – European Capital of Culture in the year 2023" and is funded by the City of Timișoara, through the Center for Projects.
