The “DansNomad” project contributes to increasing the visibility of contemporary dance and forming new audiences in the communities in Timisoara and Timis county neighbourhoods, where this art form is not so popular. In 2023, the project will continue developing the relationships with the communities in places targeted in 2022: Dumbrăvița, Jimbolia and Lugoj. To initiate a dialogue with the residents of Timisoara’s neighbourhoods, between May 8-26, through choreographic moments in public space, workshops, guest performances and dance film screenings. The results of the project will be presented between May 27 - June 3, 2023, in Timisoara, in the form of a video exhibition (“DansNomad Retrospectiv”) and through a dance performance (“DansNomad Introspectiv”).

“DansNomad” also contains a research component on the project’s impact in the targeted communities, which Dr Mihaela Tilincă will carry out based on the information collected by the artistic team during the project.
