The project "Timișoara is color" (2nd edition) aims to complete and expand the national cultural program "Timișoara - European Capital of Culture in 2023" by creating educational contexts with cultural and artistic content that aim to activate, unite and connect the local and European cultural community, identity and heritage.
If we were to think of Timișoara as a palette of colors, then this could represent the multiculturalism of the vibrant city, the variety of activities carried out, the collaboration of various industries and areas, the vivid colors given by the youthful and innovative spirit of the citizens, the different stories of the neighborhoods, the variety non-governmental organizations, the rich educational offer, the history of the city and its architecture. Seen from different aspects, our city has color.
For the implementation of the project "Timișoara is a color" (2nd edition) we propose intercultural educational workshops, activities to promote written culture through meetings with writers, poetry and story writing workshops and circle of stories, guided tours to discover the city and heritage, creative and art workshops, meetings with visual artists and interactive sessions through which we can discover the close connection between culture and education to engage children in the story of the city and give them access to quality education through culture.
Specific objectives of the project:
- Valuing the diverse cultural landscape of the city by organizing educational activities with cultural and artistic content between August and November 2023 in different neighborhoods from Timișoara and other rural area from Timiș county for at least 300 children, 50 young people, 200 teachers and 20 non-governmental organizations.
- Creating intercultural educational contexts for students, young people and teachers from Timiș county such as: open workshops, conferences, meetings with writers, guided tours to strengthen the local community and to encourage long-term participation in cultural and artistic creation processes during August and November 2023.

The project is part of the national cultural program „Timișoara - European Capital of Culture in 2023” and is financed by the OverBorder Culture+ program, implemented by the Center for Culture and Art of Timiș County, with funds allocated from the state budget, through the budget of the Ministry of Culture.
