Artistic and research residencies, alternative education, camps and workshops, laboratories, discussions, and art exhibitions held in Timișoara in collaboration with institutions dedicated to scientific research.
Culture Qest embodies a series of events aimed at popularizing science through artistic means and alternative pedagogical methodologies, carried out in partnership with artistx and institutions dedicated to scientific research in Timișoara. The Culture Quest event series shifts the focus from technology to scientific exploration through hybrid actions that merge science, art, and technology into educational content, where the research laboratory becomes a space for the exchange of both scientific and artistic knowledge.
For 2022 and 2023, we propose a program of activities structured as research laboratories, residencies, workshops, camps, discussions, art exhibitions, multimedia installations, and an online platform. These activities are based on ideas learned or borrowed from shared experiences, fostering critical reflection on the role of technology in our daily lives.
The project is part of the Cultural Program "Timișoara 2023 - European Capital of Culture" and is funded by the Municipality of Timișoara through the Project Center. Culture Quest is a component of the Knowledge Fields program, and the four cultural partners are Indecis, Minitremu, kinema ikon, and Doar Mâine. Supported by BRD-Groupe Société Générale.
